Seenaptec Access Platform 1.5.13: more control over hardware, less manual configuration
On September 2, 2026, Seenaptec Access Platform v1.5.13 was released. The new version continues the development of Seenaptec as a software platform for managing physical access infrastructure. At the center of this release are deeper management of endpoint equipment, flexible configuration of physical inputs, and further simplification of the engineer's work with access objects.
Over the past several updates, we have also significantly strengthened the fault tolerance of the OSDP infrastructure and the system's operational tools.
Device management now begins and ends in Seenaptec
Version 1.5.13 introduces a standard factory reset of supported AGRG devices directly from Seenaptec.
This is not simply deleting a record from the configuration. The platform sends a reset command to the device and waits for confirmation of execution. Only after a successful response is the equipment removed from the system. If the device does not confirm the operation, the configuration remains unchanged.
For the engineer, this means a predictable equipment lifecycle: connection, configuration, diagnostics, updating, and now complete decommissioning of a device are all performed from a single interface.
All such operations are recorded in the Seenaptec log.
Physical installation no longer dictates system logic
One of the main changes in 1.5.13 is individual input inversion for each functional slot of an access object.
The door sensor, exit button, emergency release, turnstile passage sensors, safety sensors, and barrier arm position sensor can now be configured independently.
This is especially important when working with existing infrastructure and equipment from different manufacturers. Instead of reworking the wiring scheme, the engineer can align the actual electrical logic of a specific input to the object model directly in Seenaptec.
This capability builds on the individual input and output configuration of AGRG equipment introduced in version 1.5.12 and makes the platform's object model even less dependent on the specifics of a particular installation.
Object configuration has become more convenient
We reworked the saving of the access object card.
Now "Properties," "Access Rules," "Access Conditions," and "Behavior" are saved independently of each other. Changing one section no longer puts the entire card into edit mode, and discarding changes affects only the section the operator is working with.
The change is small on the outside but noticeable in the daily operation of large systems: there is less risk of affecting neighboring settings, and it is clearer exactly which changes will be applied.
The OSDP infrastructure is becoming more resilient
The previous updates 1.5.11 and 1.5.12 formed an important part of the new operational environment of Seenaptec.
The platform now features ring redundancy for OSDP lines with primary and backup communication directions and automatic switching of traffic to an available route. The resilience of MQTT communication after broker reconnection has been improved, and the status of lines and devices is now displayed in more detail directly in the interface.
This is especially important for data centers, industrial sites, and distributed facilities, where the failure of a single network segment must not turn into a loss of control over an entire line.
More tools for operations and investigations

Recent versions of Seenaptec have also introduced a system status overview, an installation code for technical support, operator access recovery, and export of selected log events to CSV.
The log in Seenaptec remains a single source of access, audit, and technical status events. The platform stores not only the result of an operation but also the context of the changes, which makes it possible to use the system not only for access control but also for subsequent analysis of what happened. In the Seenaptec documentation the log is described as append-only and supports record integrity control.
Less manual equipment configuration
Seenaptec consistently moves commissioning tasks from individual devices to the software platform level.
SSB discovery, centralized device configuration, Secure Channel management, firmware updates, individual input and output configuration, and now factory reset of equipment are becoming parts of a single engineering process.
This aligns with the core architecture of Seenaptec: an access object exists independently of a specific hardware instance — the device can be bound later or replaced without rebuilding the logic of the object itself.
Availability
Seenaptec Access Platform v1.5.13 is available starting September 2, 2026 for amd64 and arm64 platforms.
The update is performed as standard while preserving existing data and configuration. No database migration is required to update to 1.5.13.
