Telecom

Base stations, communication nodes, street cabinets, and geographically distributed facilities.

Distributed communication nodes

Typical controller-based ACS

Seenaptec Access Platform

Each node contains a local controller with its own autonomous configuration and memory.

A remote site is represented in the platform as an access object linked to devices via IP–RS-485 and OSDP.

Diagnostics analyze the state of a specific controller and its configuration.

The platform displays the state of the service, line, primary and backup loops, device, and secure channel.

Changing a policy requires synchronization with the local controller.

Rules and passes are stored centrally and applied to objects or their tags.

Different sites are maintained as a set of local configurations.

Objects are grouped by tags based on region, purpose, owner, or infrastructure type.

Outdoor and telecommunications cabinets

Typical controller-based ACS

Seenaptec Access Platform

The cabinet is described as an access point with a set of controller inputs and outputs.

The cabinet is a separate object type with built-in reader, lock, door sensor, and handle sensor slots.

The event records opening or violation of the input state.

The system maintains a cabinet session and shows who opened the cabinet and whether the session remains active.

Replacing lock equipment requires checking the controller settings.

When replacing a device, the object, access rights, and history are preserved; only component binding changes.

Separate hardware configurations are created for different cabinet models.

Typical devices and cabinets are entered using setting templates and binding templates.

Contractor access

Typical controller-based access control system

Seenaptec Access Platform

Temporary access is assigned to a list of points or an access mode.

A contractor is assigned a pass to facilities, a site tag, or a service route.

Restrictions are set by schedule and special mode rules.

The pass simultaneously sets the validity period, time, route, and number of allowed passages.

Confirmation of access to work requires additional parameters or an external process.

The facility can prohibit access if a required condition is missing: admission, briefing, or permission.

Presence is determined by entry and exit reports.

Presence in the perimeter and active sessions are displayed as the current system state.

Remote equipment maintenance

Typical Controller-Based Access Control System

Seenaptec Access Platform

The first access points of the required controllers are selected for updating; the controllers are processed sequentially.

Devices are selected directly; firmware is selected by manufacturer and model from the catalog.

The controller configuration and onboard memory must be analyzed before maintenance.

The technical status of the device and line is available without reading the controller's onboard configuration.

Diagnostics are based on the technical parameters of the specific controller.

Commissioning (LIVE) mode displays identifiers, keys, inputs, outputs, Secure Channel, and update progress in real time.

A line failure and a controller failure are treated as failures of a specific hardware component.

Primary and backup paths are configured for the OSDP line; failover occurs if the converter, channel, or line service fails.
