How can I integrate Seenaptec into an existing security system?
To use smartphone access, you need to replace the readers in the areas where the system will be implemented. Then simply add users to your access control system. This is easy because the readers work via the Wiegand protocol, which is compatible with almost all access control systems worldwide.
Which devices are supported (iOS, Android, PC)?
The app supports smartphones: iPhones with iOS 12 and above. For Android, devices with Android 15 and above are supported, although there may be minor differences with custom skins (e.g., Samsung One UI, MIUI, etc.), but they are supported in most cases.
How secure are virtual cards?
Virtual cards provide a high level of security because they are issued directly on the server. We do not store or use any critical data on the phone, which minimizes the risk of compromise.
Can cards be protected from copying?
The communication protocol with the reader is protected by AES encryption, which prevents copying and unauthorized access.
What if an employee loses their phone?
The employee can easily restore access: just get a new phone, install the app, and log in using their credentials. Access on the old device is automatically revoked, ensuring security.
Can access be restricted by time (e.g., only during working hours)?
The card issuance server manages their distribution and can limit the overall validity period of a card. However, personal access time settings are configured directly in the access control system (ACS) and work the same as for regular cards. Therefore, yes — access can be restricted by time, for example, only during working hours.
